Living cells, even single-celled cells, need copper. If they have too much copper, they die. Therefore, scientists and industrialists in Africa are encouraging the use of copper tools. In fact, they have shown that if the surfaces of hospital tables and water supply tubes are copper, several microorganisms as well as harmful antibiotic-resistant bacteria are eliminated. Among them are the cause of tuberculosis and Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, causing numerous infections.

The use of copper does not completely eliminate the risk: bacteria must be in contact for a long time to die with copper and, in addition, in the case of tuberculosis, the agent is transmitted by air, so the use of copper equipment is not entirely effective. However, it is useful and easy to do. Therefore, scientists and industrialists develop a plan to show how to use copper to improve their health.
