Thanks to the images of the Hubble Space Telescope, they have made the most detailed observation of the Ring nebula. Thus, they have described the complex structure of the nebula and have developed a 3D model taking into account its structure, evolution, physical conditions and movement.
They have seen the ring as a distorted nebula. The center, however, is full of lower density materials.
The brightest part is the ring of colors seen: it is the gas released by a star that dies in the middle of the nebula. This star becomes nano white, a very small, dense and hot body.
He discovered the ring in 1779 the Antoine Darquier nebula of Pelleix and, shortly after, Charles Messier identified it as the 57 object of his astronomical catalogue when he studied it. It is about 2,000 light-years from Earth.
