Basque label

Since entering Europe, production habits are changing or changing in many places. This year we already have a practically free market, with a clear agricultural and industrial influence.

Growing competition forces certain productive systems to opt for their disappearance or conversion. In general, high production issues will not occur anymore, as the operating costs of our business structure will be higher than those of other similar companies in Europe.

One of the solutions left to the Basque economy is to flee the massification. In this context we must understand the “Basque Food Quality Label” created by the Basque Government. The goal of this label is double. On the one hand, it aims to protect the work of producers, transmitting to consumers the quality and origin of products. On the other hand, it is intended to control the quality of products, from the beginning to the end, so that no one can incur falsehoods.

The symbol of this label is the letter “K” of the word quality and at least two products have already been obtained, the lamb of the Basque Country and the potato of Alava.
