Concerned about European forests

The findings of more than 600,000 trees investigated in forests in 30 European countries are worrying.

At the request of the European Commission, forests in thirty European countries have investigated more than 600,000 trees and drawn disturbing conclusions. More than a quarter has a loss of leaves of more than 25% and a 10% leaf discoloration of more than 10%.

Heat, air pollution, parasites, etc. have damaged all kinds of trees, from the Mediterranean oaks to the resinous trees of Poland. The only good news is that the sulfur content in the soil and leaves has declined.
