Another achievement in stem cell growth

Researchers at Johns Hopkins have shown that human embryo stem cells grow with the help of special bone marrow cells. As stem cells divide, these special cells are fed.

Until now, in the growth of stem cells mouse cells have been used to feed stem cells, but through therapy it is feared that later diseases of animal origin are transmitted. Therefore, the stromal cells of the human bone marrow have been replaced by mouse cells and it seems that stem cells have managed to reproduce avoiding differentiation.

The main advantage of the use of stroma cells of the bone marrow is its ease of obtaining, in addition to not presenting ethical problems against other types of cells.
