Food wheel

So far we have analysed the ingredients of food, some in depth and others in surface. According to the ingredients, food is classified into four groups or groups. In the first group are collected energy foods, that is to say, those that supply energy to the body and that are rich in carbohydrates (bread, cereals, rice, pasta — macaroni, spaghetti, cannelloni, tortelinis, pizza, noodles,…), flour, sugar, biscuits, candies — candy, gominolas,… — and rich in butter and fat. The bakery rich in carbohydrates and fats is also part of this group (croasanes, palms, bollychaos, donuts, neapolitanas, tea pastes, …).

The second group is made up of plastic foods. Its main characteristic is the presence of proteins. They fulfill the structuring function. In this group are milk and dairy (cheese, yogurt, curd, fermented milk, smoothies,…) meat, fish, egg and sausages.

The third group is also known as a group of regulators. In fact, they are foods with more vitamins and mineral salts, fruits and vegetables.

Finally, it is a group of foods that contain some of all the ingredients, known as a mixed group. In this group are potatoes, green beans and nuts.

Other products that we have not mentioned here and that cannot be included in the previous groups are also very common in the kitchen: salt, vinegar and other species. They act as food companions.

We only have to talk about everything, but quiet, in the following sections we will have time to speak calmly.
