1 day

8 in the morning. Time to turn on the lights and computers and start taking the measure of the day. Put on the table the incomplete works of the previous day and list the works to distribute among the compañeros. There will be more work than we want for everyone. Let's start working.

Fax and phones have started working since the morning. Communication between the work team is largely achieved thanks to this. Besides the office, there are many people who work for the magazine in hours that have stolen their daily tasks. Some are responsible for creating fixed sections and others send us periodic reports. Without the collaboration of collaborators, it would be impossible to complete the magazine and, aware of it, we are increasingly trying to incorporate more people to create a more compact network. It seems that we have formed in the hunt for collaborators.

Step by step

The morning continues and it is time to monitor the press. We look for news that smells of disclosure and locate it. There is no lack of possibility to discuss the treatment of these news; to prevent mistakes made by others from occurring in our environment, this exercise is healthy.

Reading articles takes us longer than many expected. The papers collected in the editorial staff have not arrived, the comrades in charge of publishing them in the rough and making the adaptations know perfectly how difficult it is to set standards in a non-standardized language. After the first amendments of cover, comes the second reading and thus adapts the article to our sections. Although many find it too long a path, we could only guarantee the quality of the published articles. And so we do.

As soon as the models start, an intense debate opens up. Different forms must be given to continuous lines and different alternatives are studied. Meanwhile, we will continue with the latest fixes, infograms and images. Loose pages, articles and subsections take the form of a journal. It is about filming the work done on computers. Everything is ready.

We thought so, but something fails at the last moment. Murphy would be proud of our work. The race against the clock returns and we have to make the last effort of this number. Against the forecasts we will arrive on time. Once the magazine is filmed, individual pages, colors, photographs and other details will be analyzed. After checking everything correctly it is sent to the printing press. Today at night we sleep peacefully.

The next day the lights and computers will turn on at eight in the morning. As you can see, you can't wait for the next one: you have to go look for it. As soon as you have the magazine, you will receive your concerns. By then we will be working face to face.
