The Channel Tunnel

The Channel Tunnel Group Proposal:
Two railway tunnels dug in crete and 40 meters under seabed. Each tunnel has a diameter of 7 m. Among them would be a 4.5 m diameter service tunnel. Road transport would be done by train.

The maximum speed of the trains would be 160 Km/h. Capacity:
More than 7000 cars/hour in a destination. Cost:
£ 1900, 1983. Construction

This mention of the new sciences cannot be finished without mentioning the issue that is lately in full swing. Finally, the governments of Paris and London have made a decision on the Canal connection project: "The Channel Tunnel Group" was chosen. In the zero issue of our magazine, in the article dedicated to this topic we mentioned the project and here again the corresponding image.
