The Mendeleev University of Russia has developed a painting that changes color by increasing temperature. The paint resists temperatures between 100 and 1000 degrees without deteriorating and adheres to almost any material. Change color every 10 degrees and measure temperature with an accuracy of 6 degrees. According to the researchers, painting will be very useful for measuring the thermal resistance of machines or apparatus. Currently this operation is performed by thermocouples, but when the surfaces are large or mobile there are difficulties.
