Some researchers have seen that spheroids are packaged better than spheres. The spheroids taken to measure packaging have surprised when using candies called M&Ms.

Random packaging showed that M&Ms occupies 68-71% of the available space. The spheres, however, cover 64%. Therefore, spheroids are packaged more compact. Spheroids, like spheres, rotate to occupy the most stable position in packaging, but also move to the sides, allowing them to find stable positions more easily than spheres.
