The waves of the sea have more and more energy, according to a study by the University of Cantabria. And this is directly related to ocean warming. The study was published in the journal Nature Communications.

The rise in sea surface temperature has caused changes in, which in turn have led to a greater accumulation of energy in the waves. Thus, since 1948 the energy of ocean waves has increased by 0.4% annually. Researchers warn that this can have important consequences in coastal communities, more considering that sea level is increasing.
