5% of sudden infant death corresponds to metabolic problems

In search of the causes of sudden death of children, blood and bile studies have been carried out in the United States of seven thousand children who died without apparent cause, concluding that 5% of children died from serious metabolic problems. Until recently, these problems were not systematically analyzed, as this required a technology that was not widespread and costly.
