Contrary to what was thought, a few days after entering the body, the AIDS virus causes great damage to the immune system: about 60% of certain cells become contaminated and about half die.

Research has been done with monkeys, a virus equivalent to human HIV. In short, two studies have been carried out, obtaining similar results.

It seems that in humans something similar can happen. Therefore, it is appropriate to take into account the early incidence of HIV from now on, for example, when treating people who have become contaminated, or when performing preventive tasks with people at high risk of contamination.
