Running and cholesterol

Female runners produce good cholesterol in the blood. A study of 1,800 athletes has shown that women who run more than 64 kilometers a week, compared to those who do less than 16 kilometers, have more HDL cholesterol, 10 milligrams more per deciliter of blood. However, despite the advantage of HDL cholesterol for the heart and blood circulation, there is the risk of injury and monthly problems.
