In some caves where images of prehistory have been drawn inside, there is a certain relationship between the location of images and their sonority. The greater the loudness in a place, the greater the probability of finding drawings and symbols in it.
Professor Iegor Reznikoff of Nanter University in Paris has prepared a system to prove it. The cave uses the voice and ear, and sometimes the fingerboard and sonometer, to detect where it is strongest in the inner nooks. Subsequently, the sound map is compared with the location of the images.
Tests have been carried out in the caves of Ariege and Euskal Herria and the relationship between sound and image has been verified. Recently they have passed through the Yonne river in prehistoric caves of Arcy-sur-Cure.
