A Planet Survivor of the Star Explosion
01/10/2007 | Elhuyar

When a star becomes a red giant, it extends a lot and devours the planets around it, so to speak. They have found a planet that has endured after this process, a planet that orbits the star V 391 Pegasi, researchers of the National Institute of Astrophysics of Naples.

In view of this, the chief investigator has affirmed that the future of the Earth is not as clear as they believed. When the Sun becomes a red giant, it seems that the Earth may not disappear, that is, it will remain as this other planet has endured.
