After his consolidation, Beethoven continues to compose music. It seems that he collected the melodies of the piano through the vibrations. According to the recent research of the University of Washington, Beethoven collected music in the same area of the brain in which the non-deaf listen.
Using functional magnetic resonance imaging, researcher Dean Shibata analyses the brain activity of deaf and heard people. Normally the sounds excite the auditory cortex and in the case of the deaf, Shibat has seen that the vibrations excite the same area. However, people with normal hearing do not show any activity in this area of the brain when they receive vibrations. According to the researcher, the brain is restructured to compensate for the error that causes deafness.
