Debate on dark energy
The physicist Edward Kolb has returned: Two Princeton experts say it is wrong. Kolb works at the Fermi National Accelerator (USA) and wrote a provocative article on the origin of dark energy. According to the columns, dark energy is a by-product of sombre waves in the space-time structure, and is not matter or energy.
Seljak and Princeton Hirata answer him in another article: They say that the error of the columns have shown it mathematically, and that those huge waves are not able to expand the universe constantly. In fact, dark energy is an antigravity force that drives the expansion of the universe ever faster—its influence has been seen in the supernovae.
