American photographer Karine Aigner has been the best photographer for this year's Wildlife Year, with this photograph made on an air ball that rotates on hot sand.
Except for one, all the others are males and aim to cover the only female in the center. According to the jury, the photograph perfectly collects and transmits the hum of bees, the movement and the intensity of the action, with such greatness that “the small bee cactus makes them great competitors”.
Aigner is the fifth woman to win this prize in fifty-eight years.
