Another molecule in space

Researchers of the Max Planck Institute have detected in space the ammonia replaced by deuterium by the three atoms of hydrogen. The molecules with deuterium are formed in very cold gas clouds, but an atom replaced by deuterium has never been detected. The finding was made in the clouds of the constellations of Perseus and Ofiuco at 500-1,000 light-years of the Earth, where the temperature is about 10 K, that is, 260 °C.
