In Iraq, glass devices have been buried for more than four thousand years. These instruments will serve to predict the evolution of buried nuclear waste.
In fact, the nuclear waste is stored in glass containers that are introduced into other metal and that are finally buried. Scientists cannot know beforehand the evolution of these containers, since the simulations performed are not reliable for thousands of years.
For its part, the study of the changes that have suffered the old glass containers and their decorative elements is considered to serve to predict what may happen in the future. Consequently, it is proposed that those who work with nuclear waste take into account the experience of archaeologists.
