Elhuyar Fundazioa

Elhuyar has released a new CD-ROM for children, this time in collaboration with Euskal Kultur Erakundea. In this Kantuketan CD-ROM, children will be able to play with music so that through the game they will know this wonderful world.

This CD, which is part of the exhibition Kantuketan, prepared by the Basque Institute of Culture, will be on sale this month. Aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old, the games will allow them to enjoy music and learn music. There you will find special exercises to get to know Basque music and work the ear.

This CD-ROM consists of five games, each on a world continent. In each continent there will be a local musician with a local instrument that will play music and propose a game.

Play with scores

The European violinist suffers a fall of scores and becomes very small. There are two games to help the violinist. In the first, each part of the score will be placed in its corresponding place. In this way, the user can listen to the score completely and correctly. In the second game you have to work the ear. For each part of the score there are three parts, each in different tone! The user must select the correct tone part and place it in the score by clicking the arrow to do so.

Mixing table

Here children will be able to do disc-jockey. With the mixer you can choose a song and listen to it as you like, with or without piano, or by raising or lowering the volume of another track.

You bertsolari!

In Asia, in addition to playing the sitarra, they also want to learn bertsos, but when they start they forget their feet! The feet of the verses are mixed at the bottom of the scrolls. Take everyone to their place and you will hear the whole bertso!

Create songs

This is a space for user creativity. There will be several melodies to choose from, so you will have to write on the scroll a song that, selecting one, will sing with that melody. Then, through the microphone, you can sing and record the song on your computer, listen to it with music and save it to your hard drive, change it as you want or listen to it at any other time.

Get to know the music!

The child has the opportunity to show whether or not he knows music here. On this screen there are several games, all of them couples, which include games to relate the music you are listening to with a country, a feeling or an event, as well as with the singer.

Stories

Some songs complete stories. In this case there will be several divided stories. The child must join the drawing that represents each part and, when he does well, he will be able to see and hear the whole story. Go music!
