Desserts based on milk

Difficulties in changing eating habits

To finish with dairy products, in addition to milk, we will talk about rich desserts that are prepared with other ingredients.

The amount of milk and other ingredients can vary a lot from one product to another. In the desserts that we can prepare at home with milk, that is, in rice with milk, flan and native are used ingredients that enrich the milk. In the milk of rice, for example, we add rice and sugar and we enrich the milk in carbohydrates. In the case of flan, it is added egg and sugar, we enrich it in proteins and fats of high value, and finally, in the native ones, when using the yolk and the sugar of the egg, is a dessert of milk with greater content in fat.

For the elaboration of these three desserts we have not used any additive, but if we buy these desserts in the shop the composition varies much at nutritional level. In addition to the usual ingredients, cream, milk proteins, starch, thickeners, preservatives, flavors, etc. They carry. For example, a chocolate native we buy carries whole milk, sugar, glucose, cream, milk proteins, starch, cocoa, thickeners E-407 and E-410, preservative E-234, cocoa flavor and salt. Other milk based desserts that exist in the market contain similar ingredients, such as chocolate glasses, mousses, ice cream, petit suis, Catalan cream, etc.

In no case can these replace as usual one of the three dairy that an adult should take a day. Only an adult can take this type of food sporadically, for example ice cream every Sunday, but can also do so with greater assiduity among children, young people, athletes and people who are on a bait diet.

BRIEF NOTES

Despite the many tips and recommendations on food, in general it seems that in our society there are great difficulties in changing the usual bad eating habits and accessing healthy ones. When analyzing the causes, the conservative character of the human being and the attractiveness of current foods have been considered important. In fact, studies show that in the ads offered on Saturdays in the morning in children's television programming in the US, 41% of the information is the "antithesis" of a balanced diet.
