Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago launches a computer system to write recipes. Instead of sending and advising the patient by hand, they will be written by computer using the Phisician Order Entry (POE) system. This system aims to avoid medical errors caused by incomprehensible calligraphy, since every year about 7,000 people die from ill-read recipes in the United States. In addition, the written is on the network to be able to consult or send it from the desired terminal. The POE system will also be available over the Internet.
