Basque Research was published in 2002 with the aim of disseminating and promoting research, development and innovation in the Basque Country. To this end, agreements signed with other websites have been fundamental to the advancement of our portal, and Basque research has been key to success and impact.

Basque Research has created a network with several international websites that work as news agencies, such as Alphagalileo, Eurekalert!, CORDIS Wire, innovations-report and Madri+d. Through these agreements or collaborations, Basque research news is published in these European and American portals.

In most cases the English version is published, but there are also Spanish versions. In fact, the news and events of Basque research at Basque Research are produced and published in three languages: Basque, Spanish and English. We then send the English version to international sites.

This creates opportunities for collaboration and new contracts for researchers and strengthens relationships with companies and the media. For example, the television network Discovery Channel, the newspaper The Sun and the magazine New Scientist have requested information about the news published in Basque Research and disseminated through the international network.

To learn more about the portals responsible for this success, the following data can be found:

Alphagalileo

European research news agency on the Internet. It is run by the British Association for the Advancement of Science and is led by representatives from several European countries, including the Elhuyar Foundation, on Spanish representation.

Eurekalert!

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) website. This institution publishes the prestigious journal Science.

CORDIS Wire

European Union research portal.

Innovations-report

European research website. It is sponsored by the main German companies.

Madrid

Web that gathers and publicizes new research and scientific culture in the State.

The aim of Basque Research is to make this international network available to as many researchers as possible so that Basque research can expand more and more.
