Some proteins have the ability to convert mature cells into embryonic stem cells and, according to a group of researchers, this procedure will be useful to regenerate damaged tissues and produce blood or pancreas, among others.

Researchers who have made the statement work at Princeton University in New Jersey (USA), and their job is to identify these proteins that work as rejuvenating. But they have not finished, because it is not yet clear which proteins are responsible for these changes. It is possible that some protein is not identified or that the proper combination of proteins is not yet identified. With these proteins, cocktails would be formed for the treatment of adult cells. A biopsy would take adult cells from the body and use a group of proteins to convert them into embryonic stem cells. Subsequently, another group of proteins would be used to reprogram the obtained stem cells. In this way, reprogrammed cells could reproduce again and again.
