Although X-rays are used for diagnostic purposes, they sometimes cause cancer, according to one study, 700 people become ill every year in Britain by X-rays and 5,600 in the United States.
If we look at the percentages, 0.6% of cancer cases in Britain are due to X-rays, a percentage similar to that of studies in Sweden and Poland. The highest percentage is concentrated in Japan, where 3% of cancers come from X-rays, which appear to be more used than in other countries.
For research, on the one hand, the number of high levels of exposure with the number of cases of cancer has been compared, and, on the other, a complex model of computer has been studied lower exposure levels.
