Spreewald, together with Berlin, has been included by UNESCO in the list of biosphere shelters. When a place receives the declaration of UNESCO, this place is protected by the program Man and the Biosphere, intended for the rational exploitation and conservation of natural resources. Consequently, the protection of this area is constant and if someone has agricultural or forestry plans, they must go to other places.
Recently, two places in Brazil have been included in the list. One of them is a forest located on the Atlantic coast. There is currently no more than 5% of the original surface of this forest. On the other hand, the prestigious amusement park Amboseli, located in Kenya, has joined the 300 UNESCO refugee lists.
The US, despite leaving UNESCO, currently has 49 shelters.
