Waves create new stars

Astronomers consider collisions in the universe vulgar.

Although it is much to say that it can occur at any time, astronomers consider that shocks occurring in the universe are common. What we know in the image is one of those “normal” phenomena: the clash between two galaxies that has occurred 500 million light years from us.

The image that the Hubble probe has collected shows the waves that caused the shock. Astronomers believe that the concentration of gas in waves is the first step that is usually taken to create new stars. The evolution of the process must be followed closely. Perhaps in the next issue a new star has been created.
