The AVI-2015 project is led by CAF. The aim is to develop technology that will allow high-speed trains to circulate throughout Europe in the near future with different track widths, electrical voltages and signaling types.
Currently only 250 km/h can be reached with the options available for these cases. The AVI-2015 project aims to take a technological leap to reach 300 km/h maintaining or improving safety and comfort levels and reducing energy consumption. Key technologies such as railway dynamics, active suspensions, materials, signage and traction and aerodynamics will be investigated.
