SUN creates jini language

The debate on the Operating System between the software houses is still alive and now a new front has been opened, that of the peripheral elements. Peripheral elements are devices that, in addition to computers, can be connected to the network: printers, scanners, mobile phones, TV decoders or, why not, dishwashers.

The Jini computer language aims for all these devices to communicate with computers to create more complex networks in the future. To carry out this project Sun will have the collaboration of large companies such as Philips, Hewlett Packard, Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson and Psion. Jini language is born to address Microsoft's Universal Plug and Play interconnection system.
