The polygraph or lie detector is a device that records changes in some physiological parameters of the person. Depending on the sweat emitted by the subject of the polygraph, the breathing movements performed, the heartbeat and the tension in the blood, it is decided whether the person lies or tells the truth.
In the US, the polygraph is used enough to measure the veracity of the words of candidates for a job. However, CIA and FBI investigators discover that a specially trained person is able to scam the polygraph. This research has questioned the utility of the polygraph and has alerted users of these tests that there is no confidence in what the machine indicates.
