Penguins with temperate climate

According to one study, the first species of penguins developed in a temperate climate and not in cold areas of Antarctica.

These conclusions have been drawn from the study of a 40 million year old bone penguins found in the Tierra del Fuego of South America. The bones found are much older than any penguin-fossil so far. It is said that this kind of penguin lived in a temperate environment without ice.
