Tents instead of pesticides

Irrigation channels are needed, but the proliferation of plants totally conditions the effectiveness of the channels. Given this problem, what could they do in the vast dry territories of southern Argentina? No pesticides, of course, although the only system used so far is the same. To address this problem it was necessary to find another more ecological system.

The problem arises in southern Argentina, but it is certainly not limited to it. Tents have been installed to destroy plants that grow without measures in the channels without herbicides. At the moment, they are satisfied with the results. For now...

National and European researchers have started to solve this problem and have been asked to use tents. Think and do: the tents adapt to the reproduction of these plants and allow to keep the canals clean. In addition, projects have been launched to strengthen the production of tents in the region, expanding the new and innovative framework.

This system can provide many options for the future, but opinions have also been heard against it. Will the increase in tent population affect the medium term? Will it break your ecological balance? These are questions that cannot be answered at the moment. The future will tell us.
