In the territory of wolves

According to official data, 37 wolves have died in Bizkaia since 1987. These numbers, after dismissing other criticisms, indicate that the arrival of wolves has not been instantaneous. But you cannot look to one side. The citizenry considers the wolf a predator, but the administration does not make a gesture to increase it and even does it on a worse path. Some neighbors make excursions to kill the animal and the administration wants to pass the high voltage cables, destroying the habitat of wolves.
The new high-voltage mammal is a 400 kilowatt double circuit line that goes from Penagosti in Cantabria to Guenes. On this tour you will cross the Peñas de Ranero, that is, you will cross the heart of the park of the same name. But the project is not limited to it, but, on the way from Bizkaia to Gipuzkoa, will reach the municipality of Itxaso crossing two other important natural spaces: Gorbea and Aizkorri, recently declared natural parks.
In the face of all this, I consider it normal that opposing positions appear, and that at the protest the Government of Madrid, showing its usual sensitivity, has argued that the high voltage line is public use, unfortunately it should be considered normal.
The new destruction will not help Karrantza's recovery projects, nor the return of wolves. It can be said that we are at the door of a new trap against our natural heritage, if a new section is opened. What the killings of the Karrantza hunters did not achieve, we should ask ourselves if it will happen in the name of development (why are development and reduction always synonymous? ). How can we criticize the absurdity of some of its inhabitants, not all, in the face of the fearsome project designed by the State? The high-voltage electric towers will be crossings of the new cemetery.
