Researchers from the UK have developed a new technology to glue alternative body parts directly to the skeleton. Currently, the prosthesis is attached to the arm or pin with a kind of strap, but with the new technique a titanium wedge is inserted directly into the bone. The titanium pallet crosses the skin, attaching the prosthesis to the paleton. The skin is completely attached to the paleton area, allowing the prosthesis to be in contact with the skin without risk of infection. From this new technology, but in the long run, it is expected to create alternative body parts that control the central nervous system.
