Sleep well, honey

Do you have worse nightmare than endure the snoring of your roommate? To reduce this annoying noise, a group of Yale doctors uses technology called somnoplasty. Snoring is mainly due to the vibration of the tissue that remains on the soft palate and on the back of the mouth.

A low-frequency radio wave technique is used to reduce and stretch these tissues. Somnoplasty takes less than 10 minutes and can be performed at the doctor's office with local anesthesia. It can also be used to fight obstructive apnea syndrome.

This reduces the upper airway tissues, including those at the base of the tongue, which are responsible for the obstruction.

With this new technique, without cuts or pain, there is no reason to continue scaring the neighbor.
