This plant will use the technology designed in the British government research program. This program was abandoned six years ago because it was commercially unviable by the British government.
The plant will have a power of 5 megawatts and will be located in the mouth of the port of Enco. The port of Encore is under construction to serve a 2,000 megawatt coal power plant. India has great energy needs and it is not surprising to want to use all sources.
The system proposed by the LAE will use as generator the walls of the port. Through the holes in the spring wall, the water enters and moves the air through turbines (see figure). When the wave enters the water, it moves the air from the chamber and pushes it through the turbine. When the wave drops, it leaves a hole in the chamber and the air will fill that gap through the turbine. This generates electricity.
The dock will be built by modules. Based on the depth of the site and the nature of the existing waves, engineers design these modules. In areas where the bottom is made of stone, it binds directly to the pavement. If it is sand they settle on pivot.
