Paleontologists of the Max Planck Institute announce the sequencing of part of the genome of Neanderthal man. They say it is only 0.03% of the total genome, but it is not taken into account that it is genetic material of a man 45,000 years ago. The genetic material is degraded easily with time and paleontologists have had to travel museums by museums in search of remains of the well-preserved Neanderthal man.
As they have explained, this is the first result of Neanderthal's genomic project, and more will come.
