More sensitive nanotechnology

American researchers have developed a nanosensor for the detection of toxic gases in the nervous system. The system is based on the reduction or oxidation processes that occur in metal oxide sensors by gas effect and requires very little energy for its operation against others. The sensor has a ribbon shape, a glass-like structure and a diameter of only 10 nm. It has platinum electrodes that measure changes in electrical conductance in the presence of gas.

It is more stable and much more sensitive than similar sensors made so far. In addition, it is ready to be reused immediately. The first conductance only takes three minutes after the gas passes, while the other systems take about 40 minutes.
