Microwave instead of insecticides

Engineers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture want to replace insecticides with microwaves to remove parasites from cereals. The results of the trials have been very satisfactory. By increasing the temperature in a few seconds, 503 centigrade, 94% of parasites are destroyed and increased by 603 100%.

By staying heated for a short time, the grain does not suffer and maintains its fertility as before. Microwaves lead to grains, for example when cereals enter the silo. The power used is five hundred times higher than the domestic microwave.

Therefore, it is not necessary to use insecticides. Also, do not forget that insects often have resistance to these substances.
