Magnetic accumulation: no limits

A

Over the years it has been recognized that the best way of mass data storage is that of optical systems, but it seems that the path of magnetic systems has not yet been exhausted.

Researchers from a US IBM center have broken all the requords, that is, to accumulate a gigabyte of data in 2.5 cm2. In other words, a text written in a hundred thousand pages with two spaces would be inserted on the mentioned surface.

Currently, the best disks on the market can accumulate 1.6 gigabytes in a 5.25 inch format. Therefore, the capacity has improved approximately 20 times.
