A group of German mathematicians has developed a computer system that reduces exposure to x-rays and at the same time increases the efficiency of such exposures.
According to those responsible for Radioplan, reduced exposure reduces tissue damage by x-rays.
The x-ray source revolves around the patient. Thus, the rays reach the tumor from many angles.
At the same time, the intensity of the rays is adjusted by a computer controlled system. With the new system, radiotherapies will become faster and more effective than now.
