New brand

New brand in solar energy conversion. By using a ceramic panel, temperatures above 1000ºC have been reached in the solar power plant of Almería.

These high temperatures will make possible the use of solar energy in processes such as the generation of electricity by gas turbines or the synthesis of hydrogen by electrolysis.

The ceramic solar panel consists of ten ceramic tubes of 42 mm diameter, 6 m long. The ceramic is silicone and carbide and is rubbed with silicone. The solar plant consists of 300 circular heliostats. Its reflection surface is 40 m 2 and concentrates solar radiation in the solar panel located at the end of the tower of 82 m. The panel has reached a temperature of 1.350ºC and the air used for refrigeration has reached 1.000ºC.
