Project against malaria in crisis

For lack of money, the World Health Organization's malaria project will fail.

The objective of this project was to reduce the number of deaths from malaria by half by 2010 and to the fourth by 2015. To this end, the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the World Bank, among others, explained in 1998 their intention to improve treatment, detection and measures before becoming ill.

However, some Harvard researchers have published that only 7% of the budget needed to deal with this deadly disease is subsidized. And not only that, but it also comes very little to the countries that need it most.

90% of cases worldwide occur in Africa and every year 100 million people affected by malaria die. Thus, malaria is the infectious disease that most people kill after AIDS worldwide.
