Earthquakes and waves: is there a relationship?
In 1994, a slight earthquake struck southern California. Of course, this is not a story that can be brought to this corner, because unfortunately there have been much more violent apparitions than that shaking. On the contrary, for the researcher who predicted that earthquake in California was a completely strange phenomenon. A few days before the earthquake, the researcher detected low-frequency radio waves at the San Andrés research center. Although not all experts agree, those waves were said to come from land movement. This has provoked a strong controversy among researchers.
At the moment it is not clear where these radio waves come from, so it cannot be said that they are due to the movement of lands. There are those who accuse chance. But some San Andrés researchers say the opposite. According to them, when many particles dissolved in the water are released at the same time, whatever the cause, they can produce radio waves that are the ones that would produce the earth movement. It is undoubtedly a brave hypothesis, but new radiodetection systems are already being designed for this task. If there was an earthquake called Big One, we can listen to us on the radio!
