New polluted groundwater cleaning technique

In Israel, a system of treatment and cleaning of aquifers contaminated with salts by waves has been developed. The test was performed with shock waves and the results were satisfactory: they managed to separate water from salt.

Groundwater aquifers are important water deposits worldwide. Their contamination is serious, as it is often difficult to clean them. The problem is even greater in dry countries, which is often one of their only sources of water.

The technique still needs to be greatly improved, but it is believed that it will be very useful in Mediterranean countries, as saltwater from the sea is often introduced into aquifers.

It should be noted that one of the few exits that existed to date was the extraction of dirty water from the aquifer with pump, which is logically too expensive.
