LCD screens before the revolution

In the houses of the future we can find liquid crystal walls that change color for a simple touch. Liquid crystals are special liquids capable of aligning their molecules. This alignment occurs when an electrical voltage passes through the molecules, when the transmission of light stops and the crystals pass from light to dark.

Current liquid crystals are placed between two heavy glass plates, while this system can place a layer of liquid crystal on a single plate. This technique exceeds existing size limits so far and can develop giant TV screens, color-changing walls or windows to read email in the shirt hose.
