The Juan Zelaia essay prize awarded annually by Pamiela has been awarded to zoologist Kepa Altonaga. The award-winning text, the essay "Darwin gurean", analyzes the influence of Darwin's theory in the Basque Country. In general, doctors took the new theory well. The Church, on the other hand, stood against it. However, Altonaga's analysis is much broader than that. It tells the story of León Uthurburu, an Indian from the north who bought the island of Floreana in Galapagos, among others. In spring, Pamiela will publish the award-winning essay.
