British entomologist Richard Harrington bought on the eBay website the fossil of an insect trapped in amber for 20 pounds sterling. He was a fan of three or four millimeters; Harrington and his companions knew what kind he was, but they could not identify the species of the afido. Finally it was discovered that this species was not described. It is believed that it is a species disappeared about 40 million years ago and that has been baptized as Mindarus harrington, in honor of the entomologist, although Harrington himself proposed the name of Mindarus ebayi.
